We are delighted that our proposal for student accommodation for the Ardent Group at Russell Road has been approved by the City of Edinburgh’s Planning Committee. The 182-room brownfield development, adjacent to the Council’s new cycle path between Roseburn and the Union Canal, will transform a lifeless street and bring new activity to the area.

The project aims to deliver an exemplar model of student living in the city, with ground floor shared amenity spaces giving both life to the street and opening onto a generous terraced courtyard garden — designed in collaboration with rankinfraser landscape architecture.

We were especially pleased to hear the summing up from the Convenor of the Development Management Sub-committee, Councillor Hal Osler, who praised the care and effort the team had put into bringing forward “the best example” of what PBSA can deliver.
