7N are proud to say that our West Town project has been featured in the 198th RSA Annual Exhibition. The thoughtful curation of the architecture room by Jude Barber around a theme of ‘Critical Action’, has collected a fascinating range of projects that directly address how our society can respond to the climate emergency and rising inequalities.

We took this opportunity to present our West Town project in a way that celebrates and demystifies the hyper-local nature of the 20-Minute Neighbourhood approach. Our new drawing, ‘West Town Stories’, explores how this neighbourhood of 7,000 homes can be created in a way that meets the many needs of the community, from schools to workplaces, shops, affordable homes, and community amenities.

The principles of the West Town masterplan will create resilient and adaptable urban environments that positively respond to the challenges of climate change, where sustainable choices are the easy default rather than the exception. This is illustrated in our drawing through the daily lives of eight people, showing how West Town will be an enriching and inclusive place for all.
